It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t energetic, but it didn’t matter. The Sabres were playing at the First Niagara Center last night. For those of you who thought that Sabre Nation would send a negative message to the organization by not showing up, you were dead wrong.
Over 10,100 fans were in attendance to watch an intersquad scrimmage between their beloved Sabres. I have to admit, I was pretty surprised to see the lower bowl of the arena packed with fans.
The hot topic of the day/night was Sabres rookie sensation, Mikhail Grigorenko.
The hype over the skilled
Russianstarted in the morning at the Sabres store. If you went to the Sabres store any time after 11:30 in hopes of
